EURACTIV Slovakia and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Bratislava cordially invite you to an online discussion titled Feminist Foreign Policy according to Berlin, which will be held on 19 October 2022 from 10 to 11 AM CET. Discussion will be held via Zoom in English only.
Feminist Foreign Policy (FFP) is a novelty for several countries in the EU, the latest for Germany. But while the new government has been incorporating the FFP into its national strategies, the aggression of Russia in Ukraine scrapped anti-militaristic position that Berlin has held since the end of World War II. But can such “historic turning point” (Zeitenwende) and war in Ukraine actually become the death knell for Germany’s feminist approach? How is Germany progressing with the FFP implementation, what has changed and what plans and challenges does the Foreign Office encounter? Has the war in Ukraine influenced Berlin’s feminist approach?
Discussion will be held online via Zoom.
